Dat Dude Success is a recording artist, model and an actor. Some people know him as the triple threat. He's a Brooklyn New York native and he began rapping professionally at the age of 14. Just started modeling last year and got his first break with Marie Claire magazine.

He's also been acting for about 6 years now, still attending acting classes at TVI Actors Studio. Success has family who are also artist and models so by being around them had really help him to learn about the fashion industry and Hip Hop game a little bit more.
"I want to be the diddy in the rap game. Denzel in the acting and Tyson Beckfard in the modeling. Thats where I want to be. I want to live the good life. "

Before he became a model his sister designed for people all over the world. Getting a chance to see what fashion was really like and watching her grow into the fashion made him want to be the one who wears the merchandise that was being put out there. He cousins were also a big inspiration for him being interested in modeling. He never really saw himself as a models because he always saw himself as being a rapper, didn’t even think that he could do both. So he started modeling, and it shocked people all over the world. His second big break was flaunt magazine when he modeled for Versace. "The greatest day of my life" is what he said. But after doing that it pushed him to the industry more and more and he is still looking forward to being Americas next top male model. But before modeling Hip Hop had took his life, rapping a lot in elementary school but he never took it serious until he got to Junior high school.

"I remember I never knew anything about the acting industry. I was afraid to become an actor some bad it came to the point somebody told me they had auditions on the phone. Now you know I was the first one to call. The funny thing is I would rush home to get to the phone to audition. I told my acting coach about it and what came up scam lol."

His cousin has always been a rapper and around that time his surroundings would always push his into doing more. So he joined a rap group called B.S.B (Bestuy Banger), consisting of about 12-14 members. Even thought this was Success's first time in a group, they were all real supportive and he really appreciated what they did for him. They inspired to bring his rap game to another level. As far as acting, his father pushed his into that. Going to auditions and acting fairs was a favorite past time. He loves and appreciates his father for exposing to the acting world. He is motivated and plans to take over the Fashion and Music industry by a storm.

The Sweetest girl, now Polished

Not surprising to hear CC may possibly loose their accreditation due to the LACK of...basically EVERYTHING! I am not even trying to be funny when I say the county is a disgrace to sin itself. I can vouch for this...why?! because yes, I am from...this sad sad county, smh.

Personally, I think things went downhill with Clayton County Public schools when I hit High School. I mean it was a little sketchy in Middle School too but High School was no joke in CC. Not OJ'n when I say I learned the following things from attending Morrow High:
A. How to professionally dodge a bullet-You simply drop first. I had teachers in my freshmen year teaching us on how to dodge bullets verses the formation and accumulation of one. The parking lot shootings resulted in Morrow not being able to have any after school events for a while. Pep rallies, dances, and other functions non-sports related was not the thing for us.

B. How to get pregnant-Well I failed this test (Thank God) but I cannot name at least ten girls who failed with me today. Not one...but two or more....there were girls working on their second and third child by graduation. Four of my homegirls (bless their hearts) has yet to finish high school and was forced to drop out due to...small things BUT I do know some girls who did finish and is doing the damn thing now in college...working..pursuing those goals. However, when I talk to them...they all wish their planning was more smoother.

C.How to mourn-The deaths...period-probably the last straw for my parents.

Despite the lack of effort that is put into the CC public schooling district I do not blame the teachers at all. My teachers were my mentors...and I mean...so what I learned more about life than it's synonyms, they taught me how to love, appreciate, and fight (the right way) for it. My bestfriend and I always laugh at our MHS memories of how we use to go to talent shows and have to sit on the first bleacher because of a possible gun pull. Or how we use to have weekly seminars on gang violence then witness the fights that followed RIGHT after them. Or even laugh hard at how we use to get suspended together over some b/s! The memories are just that for us...luckily we both left the county and graduated with gpa's that were 3.0+.

Not saying people are a true product of their environment because I know of graduates, one being my sister, that did the damn thing after MHS...will continue to excel. However, the environment does play it's evil role too. I can def. vouch for that...I felt ashamed when I moved to a totally different area. My speech...most importantly was a huge difference and I had to work as twice as hard to keep my vocabulary up to par, smh. Ha..and of course the improvement was swell!

Idk...good luck CC!

Good Morning,
strangefruit

p.s. 2004 was my favorite year in HS lmao that whole Alexandria scandal thing is STILL classic!!!

A Race with Race

Smh smh. According to America...Obama was a member of a "racist" Black Church. Gross! Since when were Blacks or anyone of color granted that opportunity?! Ha! Four hundred years (and counting) and America tries to reverse all of them by shamlessly pulling a coward ass race card (on their behalf) with Rev. Whright of the Trinity Church of Christ. Get the hell on. This so called issue is a prime example of why I do not and will not dream in America.

I really do not understand why there is so much controversy towards the views of Rev. Whright? Especially when his congregation does so much for a community that is strong in numbers...educate yourselves here white folk'! So I guess everything that is Black owned and ran is now racist too huh? Since when was being anti-America racist? Then again, who am I foolin'...America also once painted (with the same hate brush) the picture of Black Panthers being "racists" too. *rolls eyes*

And if these logics of "Black racists" existing were actually true, could this one situation be any lower than McCain's friend...the radio host that actually spoke at his campaign and boldly made racists remarks towards Obama on t.v.? (Mind you...Rev. Whright never said his views on America were also the same exact views of Obama.) I shake my head to most of my "cousins" (white folk').

Ha! Then I witnessed Bill Clinton stating, "Race in either candidates has not been an issue..." Clinton seriously wtf...are you watching this race? Clearly you are not... but good way to tip-toe your words around that tongue to avoid biting it.

This shit only allowed me to reminisce on one of X's speeches I read in the seventh grade called "Racist in Reverse".

So I'll just leave you with this bit...

"Brothers and sisters, if you and I would just realize, that once we learn to talk the language that they understand, they will then get the point. You can't ever reach a man if you don't speak his language. If a man speaks the language of brute force, you can't come to him with peace. Why goodnight! He'll break you in two, as he has been doing all along. If a man speaks French, you can't speak to him in German. If he speaks Swahili, you can't communicate with him in Chinese. You have to find out, what does this man speak? Once you know his language, learn how to speak his language. He'll get the point, there will be some dialogue, some communication, and some understanding will be developed. You've been in this country long enough to know the language the Klan speaks, they only know one language. What you and I have to start doing in 1965, I mean that's what you have to do because most of us have already been doing it, is start learning a new language. Learn the language that they understand, and then when they come up on our door step to talk, we can talk."
-Malcolm

Honestly, it's always 50/50 thing with X's views and mine. Some days I cannot stand my "cousins" and some days I'm like some of my "cousins" aint (..lol yes) so bad. Hmmm...guess I'm a "racist" too huh? Amerikkka get the hell on! UGH and for the first time...I actually agreed with Al Sharpton and Lawd knows I cannot stand that Black man. Smh.

And how dare ppl want some type of apology or explanation from this? Fuck that! I'll probably lose some of my taste for Obama if his announcement speech tomorrow tries to calm these white folk' blood...literally. C'mon Obama...you better pull a Malcom and speak of that "White Disease". Ok let me stop...I'm being "racist." I just hope Obama doesn't play the role of token Powell. Ha!

I forgive my cousins (sigh) for confusing Black liberation with racism. Smh.

p.s. But hey! "Lu Ann" (lmao..insider..smh@my daddy) feels quite at home with the Trinity Church of Christ (eventhough sometimes...Im convinced my "cousins" do not know what to say...UGH! lmao I wonder if she clutches her purse when visiting the Trinity Church of Christ). (view below)

Good morning,
strangefruit

p.p.s. The views of strange fruit are not neccessarily the views of PM...however if you are offended...kill yourself and try to discuss it with God.

PMqn: Could you tell us a little bit about you and what you do?

O'Neal: Well, My name is O'Neal Wyche 25 years old and I'm originally from Quitman, GA a small town 30mins from the FLA border. I moved to Atlanta, GA in 2001 after graduating from high school and enrolled at Bauder College for Fashion Design with a minor in Modeling. I graduated in 2003 with an Associates Degree in Fashion Design. I was awarded one of the Most Outstanding Designers and Most Likely to Succeed Award. I took an internship with Jay Reynolds (designer well known for his amazing wedding gowns and prom dresses) for 6 months in ATL. After graduating I moved to Roanoke, VA and interned for "Mill Mountain Theatre" as costume shop intern. While there I worked closely with Costume Designers on off-broadway runs of "42nd Street" and "Smokey Joe's Cafe." After 6 months I moved back to Atlanta for 2 weeks and then moved to New York City in the summer of 2003. Still in my Theatre/costume designer phase, I interviewed for a spot at "The Julliard School of Performing Arts" for the Professional Intership with costume shop. After being rejected for minimal experience, I went back to my first love "Ready-to-Wear." One of my professors in college (Mrs. Vanessa Favors - Textile and Patternmaking) told me something that I pass on till this day..." never limit yourself to one internship" so after almost a year of emailing and mailing resumes out all over NYC, humbled myself and start looking for yet another internship! Luckily, I landed a internship with Betsey Johnson and my life started to slowly transform from that day. I intern there for 6months and after, I freelanced for Betsey, designing dress and doing tech packages working under Assistant Designer. At that time I was working 2 other jobs and not really getting alot of sleep, but I was so motivated and that was all I needed to survive.

6 odd months past after I left Betsey Johnson and I worked random jobs hoping that someone would call me from all the resumes I put out there. I got a call from Pamela Thompson "Head Designer" for Betsey Johnson, that I worked closely with while my short stint there. She just landed the Head Designer's position for the pop culture contemporary brand "Heatherette." So I became her Assistant Designer and worked there for 3 years. I co-designed Heatherette young contemporary brand before I resigned. I started doing freelance, while looking for a design position. While doing freelance I started to get recognized for my graphics and prints, so I created alot for different labels including Heatherette. So for the last 2 years I've been designing and developing for many labels under my freelance group Artifacts LLC..as follows: Crown Holder Ladies (Women's Contemporary), Ladies First (Queen Latifah's Urban Young Contemporary brand), Mossimo for Target(women's denim), CAVI byDesign(women's sportswear), Faded Glory for Wal-Mart(men's and boys denim and cargo program), Express men's bottoms for Limited Brands LTD., A. Kurtz (military surplus womens and menswear specialty brand, GIII Group(Associate Designer for Guess, Tommy Hilfiger and Black Rivet men's outerwear and womens outerwear for Guess Retail)...to name a few..lol!
During all the madness, someone referred Brea Stinson a fashion stylist that worked closely with Tameka Foster and branched off on her own. I designed a graphic tee collection for her new line "BStar." while working with her, she would call me if she needed clothing made or graphic tees created and printed. so as you know word of mouth runs quickly and I started to get called randomly by people I didn't even know, that needed things done for shows, appearances..etc. I consider myself an "Inside Man" because I have the contacts for anything you need in this fashion industry...If I don't know..I could totally find out!

PMqn: Now for the finale

O'Neal:...I'm in works of partnering Artifacts LLC with 2 of my fellow collegues that own factories in India. This company will be under the LNC Apparels Ltd. umbrella www.lncapparels.com. The purpose of this venture is to design, develop and produce for start-up brands, existing brands and possibly celebrity lines. Think of it as a "one-stop-shop" consulting firm for anyone that would like to start a clothing collection.

Sorry for all of that, but honestly that was the short version..lol!

My People

"beautiful, also, is the sun.
beautiful, also, are the souls of my people."
-Hughes

what is beauty? They say it is in the eyes of the beholder. But just who are these beholders? Everyday I watch my people succumb to the inferiority complex, a state of being that suggest one is not as adequate as another. This is true not because there is a lack of substance, like intelligence, but most often it's because they don't look good enough, their skin is not light enough, their clothes are not cool enough, their hair is not straight or long enough. We as a Black people spend so much of our time and effort tearing each other down. We nick pick and hyperfocus on the external, and fail to pay any mind to our internal, which leads me to believe that us black people have yet to become comfortable with ourselves. We have not yet accepted that we are African-Americans and come in all diffrent colors, shapes, and sizes. We have not yet become comfortable with the fact that this will never change. We are who we are, and yes, we like what we like, but that's a truth that should not be void of appreciation for all the others. I may not look like you, I may not dress like you, and we may not have much in commen, but despite that I appreciate you, I respect you, because we are the same kind of people, we came from the same place. No matter how you slice it light skin, dark skin, brown skin, thin, medium, or thick, long hair, short hair, course hair or fine hair, when others look at us they see that we all the same race, they see our blackness, our beautiful blackness. That diversity makes us beautiful makes us special, and sets us apart. The sooner we realize this, and the sooner we begin to embrace each other, as cliche as it may sound, the sooner we will be able to move forward past our history.
